Our school has an excellent reputation for its quality Instrumental Music program that offers students the chance to perform in a band or orchestra.
Each week, students have an instrumental lesson and at least one ensemble rehearsal. The ensemble experience is provided through our stage band and concert band.
Biloela State High School bands and orchestras perform at many school and community functions throughout the year. They also compete in our local Eisteddfod and the State’s biennial Fanfare competition.
The instrumental music program is an important part of the school community. Not only do students have the opportunity to learn how to play a musical instrument, they also, through rehearsals and performances, acquire social and leadership skills in a team based environment; learn to appreciate the importance of both individual practice and working together, plus develop a sense of belonging and community.
